Project finishing touches!

I'm not sure if I already explained the theme of this project yet, but here it is anyways. My theme was Futuristic Fairy tale. From top to bottom I have the prince, the princess, the sidekick and the evil queen. My original idea was to simply do a traditional fairy tale but then my teacher(Mr. Wiechmann) suggested I make it more unique with my own creativity. So I thought that most fairy tales take place in the past, and so I decided to make mine take place in the future.
Each piece is really unique and, in a way, to me, they portray a little bit of a story. For example, the prince, I see him as a warrior and perhaps even a religious man.
The princess, she is different than your typical princess. She isn't all frills and pretty looks, I wanted to portray her slightly more on the psychotic side of things, but also magical in some ways too.
The sidekick is probably my favorite as I feel that it tells the most about his character and I feel that it really gives him a personality. I see him as a devoted mechanic who is both so passionate about his work he doesn't mind getting himself into some tangled messes, but also a little on the clumsy side in the sense that he tends to get himself tangled in his passionate endeavors.
The evil queen was somewhat inspired by the evil queen from Snow White as she is standing in front of a window, mirror thing, and his holding the heart of her latest victim.

Project update 2

Here is my project update. I didn't really improve anything on the top art piece, but I changed quite a few things on the other two. I changed the princess picture forma lot of pinks to more of a snowy atmosphere which I like a lot more.

Project Update

Here is an update on my project. I have created at least some of the basic sketches for the rest of my artworks. At the top I have my most completed artwork which in terms of the fairy tale world I suppose he would be the side kick. Most fairy tales have at least one sidekick if not more. The second would be the princess. I thought it would be unique to make the princess in little on the strange side as most fairy tale princesses are a bit more on the graceful, elegant end of the characteristic scale. Lastly, I have the prince who is obviously more of the heroic character, however he has some more futuristic features which I like. However, I am not sure about his hair color. It's not that I am against red heads by any means, I simply can't decide if he needs an even more exotic hair color. Maybe a vibrant blue? That could be fun. :)
